Opdivo #6 and Upcoming Scans!

Hey Y'all! I'm back with another health/life update! :) This semester is flying by! I am a week away from spring break and it's a little bitter sweet. This past week my sister came to visit me in Oklahoma and we had a great time together. As far as spring break goes, I am very excited but also a little sad that my last semester of college is going by so fast. I am having so much fun being back in Bartlesville. Classes are going well and I am enjoying being independent. It has also been so nice to see my college friends again. As far as my health goes, things are going pretty well. Yesterday my sister and boyfriend accompanied me for my 6th Opdivo infusion. The infusion went well. Other than fatigue I am tolerating it well. I am so grateful to have a treatment that my body is responding to!

Next week, I have scans. Scans are always challenging as they accompany my family and I with immense anxiety and stress. I am asking for lots of prayers that we are all filled with peace next week as we deal with my scans and the results. This has been a challenging time for me as I continue to reflect on how far I have come within the last year. Around spring break last year I was at my worst, so I am so thankful for all of you that have supported me and kept me in your thoughts and prayers to get me where I am today. GOD IS SO GOOD!

Specific Prayer Requests:

  • That my body continues to respond well to the treatment of both immunotherapy and targeted therapy pills.

  • That I experience few side effects

  • That I am able to juggle school and my health.

  • That the results of my scans will be positive.

  • That I will become NED (No Evidence of Disease) soon.

  • That I have a great spring break with family and friends.

  • That my family and I are filled with the peace of God during this time.
